2020 Sophomore YEAR
AN exciting second year, although impacted by COVID-19. We gain lots of volunteers and donations to help us grow and continue our operations. With the support of the community we launched our three seasonal harvest events. At each harvest we invited vendors, small Black-owned businesses to support them during the pandemic. We introduced to the community a way to heal through the garden during the George Floyd riots by providing an open mic space for artist. We also invited muscle therapist to come and help people release stress. We had conversations in the garden about what was happening in our city and most importantly after the local stores shut down we provided a way for the community to still have access to fresh locally grown produce.
